Town-'gboro Crisis: Osun PDP To Hijack Union As Bus Drivers Clampdown Activities

In the early hours of Monday, Ile-Ife residents were thrown into anguish as commuters and students got stranded at almost every Ile-Ife bus stop as they await the commercial buses to convey them to their various destinations and location.
The tussle didn't sideline OAU students who are being accommodated outside the university community, as they await their shuttle bus drivers fondly called "town-'gboro" to transport them to the campus for lectures, tests and other activities.

OAU KILONSHELE in a telephone conversation with one of the drivers who pleaded anonymity confirmed that the emergence of the new PDP government in the state led to chaos in the smooth running of the transportation system as they plan to hijack the leadership of the transport union.
"The PDP faction wants to take over from the existing executive who are not ready to handover peacefully. I was even about to go to work but later told I should not go out, that there is a serious commotion outside" He said.
Recall that on Sunday, the elected government of People's Democratic Party was just sworn in Osun State. The incumbent Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke and his deputy, Kola Adewusi, took the oath of office and allegiance administered on both men by the Osun State Chief Judge, Adepele Ojo, at a well-attended event.
