Great Ife SRC Observes First Business Sitting, Takes Recess

The Great Ife Students' Representative Council held its first business sitting since its inauguration in Awo Cafeteria in the late hours of Friday.
The Speaker, Ajadi Toheeb, cited that the sitting ought to have held but due to circumstances beyond control. He stated the parliamentary workshop was a feat and hammered on the establishment of standing committees as stipulated in the constitution as the major agenda for the business sitting.
The session subsequently featured the constitution of honorable members in committees as codified by the constitution; Transportation management committee, finance and budgetary committee amongst others.

However, during the session, a commotion ensued among the student parliamentarians protesting the modus operandi of the speaker in "handpicking" fellow honorable members for nomination in the standing committees.
The speaker, Ajadi Toheeb pronounced the recession of the sitting for "security reasons" and to resume Saturday(tomorrow) at 4 pm.
