By securing second place, OAU has earned the opportunity to represent Nigeria at the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Sub-Regional Competition.
In addition to this achievement, OAU’s faculty adviser, Dr. Quadri Adebayo Lawal, was honored with the Faculty Adviser of the Year award for his exceptional mentorship and support to the team. His recognition highlights the university’s commitment to academic excellence and professional development.
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) took the top spot in the competition, while the University of Ibadan (UI) finished third.
As OAU prepares for the next stage of the competition, they will join UNILAG in representing Nigeria at the EMEA Sub-Regional Competition. This round will bring together top-performing universities from across the region to compete for a spot in the regional finals.
