Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) students residing in ETF Hall experienced a critical water supply shortage early today, forcing many to leave their residence in search of water for daily preparations.

Multiple students from different academic departments were severely impacted by the water shortage. A Department of Economics student said he missed his first lecture while seeking water. "I was supposed to be in class, but the water shortage forced me to look for alternative water sources," he explained.

Another Economics Part 2 student also said that he missed his 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. class due to difficulties in fetching water at the market.

Similarly, a Part 4 civil engineering student missed his 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. lecture and stated that he might need to purchase bottled water for cooking if the situation does not improve by afternoon.

Adebiyi Eminence, the Hall Director of Sports, provided insights about the water shortage. "The issue is from the dam not the hall management and that not only the hall was affected with the water shortage.," he stated. Eminence assured students that the water supply would be restored soon.

Numerous ETF Hall residents were seen going to the new market to obtain water.
