OAU Management Meets Students' Union, Reduces School Fees

Obafemi Awolowo University, after a review of the earlier released School Fees for the 2023 /2024 Academic Session, which was released two weeks ago, has reduced the amount of school fees, after meeting the Students' Union delegates.
Earlier, in the congress that was held by the Students' Union, the congress decided that after much perseverance of the school to have a total reduction of the school fees, the Students Union will resort to a 50% reduction of the school fees, while meeting with school management.
Meanwhile, on Monday, 25th September, the University management in a Press release by the University's Public Relations Officer made it known that it has reduced the school fees, to an amount that can make the school run effectively. The University Vice Chancellor, Professor Adebayo Simeon Bamire announced in the meeting held on Monday that, the school fees have been reduced to a new price.
Students are required to pay the following amount of fees by their faculties;
Faculty of Science/Technology - New Students: ₦141, 000 Returning Students: ₦86,000
Faculty of Art/Law/Humanities - Fresh Students: ₦131,000
Returning Students: ₦76, 000
College of Health Sciences/Pharmacy - Fresh Students: ₦164,000
Returning Students: ₦109,000
Meanwhile, the University management agreed in the meeting to allow students to pay this amount of fees in two equal installments. The Press statement stated that the school portal is now open for students to pay their fees.
