OAU Management Reacts To SU Social Director's Detention

After OAU KILONSHELE's earlier report on the Great Ife Students' Union Director of Socials, Adegboye Olamilekan- Omo Alhaji's detention, OAU Management has reacted with a release, confirming his apprehension.
The release made aware of a group of students who were apprehended and suspected to be members of an illegal association capable of disrupting orderliness in the university community.

According to the release issued and signed by Dean, Division of Student Affairs Prof. Isiaka Aransi.
"It should be noted that between 12th January and 20th January 2023, three suspected students namely: Agbeja Ibukun, Ayinde Tosin and Nurudeen Bayo of the Department of Demography and Social Statistics, Biochemistry and Demography and Social Statistics respectively were invited and handed over to the Department of State Services for detailed investigation. On 27th January, 2023 one more suspected student Adegboye Olamilekan (Omo Alhaji) of the Institute of Education with matric number IED/2017/004 was also invited and handed over to the Security agents for further investigation activities"
The university management further gave assurance to students of their safety within the campus as necessary action is to be taken as regards the occurrence.
