January 26, 2017 – Advertisement of the vacancy for the post of vice-Chancellor in approved newspaper(s) in Nigeria and in the University Bulletin.

March 9, 2017 – Closing of the advertisement/deadline for submission of Applications.

March 14, 2017 – Special Meeting of Congregation to elect two representatives on the Search team

March 15, 2017 – Senate Meeting to elect two representatives on the search team

March 17, 2017 – Special Meeting of Council to elect Chairman of the search team

March 20, 2017 – Search Team commences operations

April 20, 2017 – Search Team concludes assignment and forwards its report to the Council.

April 21, 2017 – Council meeting to shortlist candidates.

April 24, 2017 – Letters of invitation through DHL with prepaid reply for interaction forwarded to shortlisted candidates.

April 26, 2017 – Senate Meeting to elect two Senate Representatives on the Joint Council and Senate Selection Board

May 2, 2017 – Council Meeting to appoint Council Representatives on Joint Council and Senate Selection Board

May 4- 5, 2017 – Formal interaction of shortlisted candidates with the Joint Council and Senate Selection Board

May 8, 2017 – Council considers the report of the Joint Council and Senate Selection Board

May 11, 2017 – Forwarding of Council’s decision to the Visitor and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, for noting.

May 16, 2017 – Issuance of Letter of Appointment to the Vice-Chancellor Designate

July 21, 2017 – Assumption of Duty of the new Vice-Chancellor

OAU RELEASES FINAL LIST FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSIONS.

Friday, 12th January, 2018. By Olufemi Alfred .O.     In lieu of a recent publication by OAU KILONSHELE about the release of admissions list despite the strike, it has been gathered that Obafemi Awolowo University has submitted the final lists of admitted candidates to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 10th of January.     However, JAMB has began the uploading of the names on the Caps  section of the website as about 20 students have been confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE  to have been admitted      All candidates (Direct Entry and JAMB applicants)  , awaiting their names should log on to the JAMB website and check if they have been admitted.

OAU ADMISSIONS MERIT LIST UPLOADED ON JAMB WEBSITE.

      Few days ago, OAU KILONSHELE posted the release of Obafemi Awolowo University merit list for 2017/2018 admissions, it has been confirmed that some of the aspirants have seen their names on  JAMB's website.       Admission status can be viewed on the CAPS section of the website.           Below are the step by step procedures to access JAMB CAPS 1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility  preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile. 2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with. 3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page. 4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page. 5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferable to use a PC. 6.
