Onwuka Sylvester Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede has reiterated the stand of the university administration in upholding the values of anti-cultism in the institution. This was contained in a statement made available on the school's website in honour of victims of the sad event which took place precisely on 10th July, 1999. Speaking on behalf of the council, senate, staff and students of the university, he used the medium to condole with the relatives and associates of the victims of the massacre and prayed for the souls of the departed. "We want to assure members of the university community that in honour of the memories of the fallen students, the university administration would continue to uphold the lofty values of anti cultism which the students stoutly stood for," the statement said.
