Falade Famous Obafemi Awolowo University undergraduate students allocated to the Muritala Muhammed Postgraduate Hall of Residence last session have voiced their concerns over living conditions and treatment by postgraduate residents. The accommodation situation arose due to the merging of two batches for the 2022/2023 academic session, leading to a shortage of undergraduate housing. Reports from undergraduate residents paint a picture of tension and alleged discrimination within the hall. One student, speaking on condition of anonymity, described issues during the examination period: "During the exam period, there was water scarcity in the hall. Whenever the school brings in water with a tank to alleviate the situation, the PGites would hoard some water in a reservoir for themselves while they only allow each person to fetch just one or two buckets from the remaining that is meant for the public." The Impact of Rising Fuel Costs on Students within the Campus

Olorunfemi Oluwaseun Obafemi Awolowo University students, who are still on campus doing their IT, teaching practice, and other academic programs during the holidays, have in one way or another been affected by the hike in petrol prices in the country since they began their programs. It has affected them in a way that they have had to make compromises, use wisdom, and engage in proper planning for their everyday activities and basic needs.
