Water Scarcity: We Are Digging Two New Boreholes In Each Halls Of Residence- Dean DSA

 Olabode Oluwafemi   T he water scarcity being experienced currently in the university community and the recent surface of a snake caught at Mozambique Hall drainage has made the hall executive council troop out in peaceful protest to the Division Of Students' Affairs building in the early hours of Tuesday. The demonstration scene began with the gyration of aluta chorus in the frontal view of the Dean of Students' Affairs office, Prof. Isiaka Aransi, as gathered and witnessed by OAU KILONSHELE correspondent who later made efforts to address the protesting students(HEC). Angola hall chairman, Timileyin Samuel questioned the management's silence after a public notice was disbursed to the university community informing them of the "mechanical fault" with the pumping machine at the dam assuring them of swift action and solution before dusk which later yielded futility as they were thrown into worrisome after 48 hours of the release. Judicial Council Annuls Speaker's Suspension, Orders Reinstatement

  Following the suspension of the Great Ife Students' Representative Council Speaker, Ajadi Toheeb, in a congress held at Afrika Amphitheater on November 30th and after a news report issued by OAU KILONSHELE interrogating the Judicial Council of the justification of the Speaker's Suspension after summoning a parliamentary sitting on December 1st respectively.  The Judicial Council in a court sitting presided over by the Lord Chancellor, Hon. Justice Abiodun Adesanya, alongside other six Justices, held on December 13th has ruled that the suspension of the Speaker is unconstitutional, illegal and void after he took legal action and redress.  Olatunde Olawale Political Science Students' Representative Council, Obafemi Awolowo University, hosted dignitaries, Lecturers and students in its first-ever parliamentary summit themed "Building the Nigeria dream: The role of the legislature and advantage of Policy Making" on Tuesday under the leadership of Hon. Editorial: A Game Of Power Tussle Between Great Ife CEC & SRC, Selfish Interest Or Students Interest?

 OAU KILONSHELE   As we are aware that the students' union had its congress on Wednesday, which happens to be the first of its kind since the reinstatement of the Union after five years of prescription. The venue appears to be soaked in gross turbulence as majority of the students were seen protesting some actions of the President, Olayiwola Folahan at the congress. Such that, even Mr. President could not resist the chaotic scene as he escaped the venue devising the marathon means.  The new page doesn't seem to correspond with expectations of the average Great Ife Students as they were overjoyed, thinking reform-ation has come to their deformities, that salvation has come while they mount the hill of Arafa-t but it blatantly appears the union leadership is more centered in proving who is more capacitated through thwarting power to achieve their selfish interest than rather hold their fellow students' interest and welfare in esteem.  The Students Representative Counci...

If The Speaker Feels He Has Been Unjustly Suspended, He Should Approach The Court - Judicial Council

Olabode Oluwafemi   Great Ife SU holds congress amidst turbulence.  Acclaimed suspended SRC Speaker forged ahead with plenary session as OAU security storms venue.  Student reporter got harassed The Great Ife Students' Union held its first-ever congress since its inauguration on Wednesday evening at the Afrika Amphitheater. The atmosphere was puffed with a series of heated arguments and turbulence by congressmen as it appeared not peaceful. The commotion began when the students' union President, Olayiwola Folahan absconded from recognizing a congressman identified as Sumbade Jnr also an honorable member of the Great Ife SRC chanting "security alert".
