Welcome message to all Freshmen..

Image
"Another phase of your life and academic pursuit is being admitted in to the university. It is a progress everyone wants to reckon with." OAU: EVICTION AND ARREST OF STUDENTS CONTINUE IN ANOTHER HOSTEL. By Nurudeen Ajibade The Management of Obafemi Awolowo University has continued with the eviction of students from another hostel facility, Awolowo hall of residence, one of the crowded hostels. The exercise has led to many awful occurrences as some students were arrested and beaten by the security unit of the university for allegedly harrasing the hall wardens. The management, in a public release few weeks ago, informed students to vacate the halls of residence by 30th of March, 2018 for  renovation purpose. However, some of the students on campus are writing their final year projects or undergoing programmes like Teaching Practice (TP) and Student's Work Experience Programme (SWEP).  According to an eye-witness account, the security officers of the University bombarded Awolowo hall of residence and they chased out students with canes and charms.
